I noticed that the UK forum was looking pretty quiet (poor show), so i thought I'd start a thread.
I was just wondering where in the UK people are buying there comics.
I realise that a lot of people are going to list the big chains, forbidden planet and traveling man, but I love visiting private owned stores, especially during the recession.
My local store is a shop called 2tone comics in Hebden Bridge. It's simply the best shop I've ever visited and the owners are absolutely amazing. On the down side they had 4ft of water damage over the summer which caused a lot of damaged stock, this has caused them to close temporarily but we're hoping for a reopen possibly September.
So...where do you buy your funny books?

I get my new comics from the Forbidden Planet International store in the centre of Glasgow. For back issues I mainly use City Centre Comics in Glasgow's West End. I would count the owners of both shops as friends and they are both fantastic shops.
There are three other comic shops in Glasgow; Red Hot Comics, Futureshock and Comics By Post. I only ever go into Comics By Post as it's a short walk away. It's pretty new, the owner is a young lad who seems friendly and I wish them well.
I always try and put some money in the cash register when I call into any of the three shops I use. I haven't been in Future Shock in years and I've never been in Red Hot Comics, ever.
