yup! man i loved tom lyles art! Is that the big throwdown with Venom? That was a good fight, especially since this was when Spider-Man and Venom had a "truce". So this was the closest you could get then to a Spider-Man vs. Venom fight. yeah. its was the first time an "spider" legitimately took down venom. did with his impact webbing too. i thought it was such an awesome story line Wait, what about all the times before that with Spider-Man? Amazing Spider-Man #300, #316-317, #332-333 (and defeated Styx & Stone), and #374-#375 (when they made the truce). Those were all solo-Spidey vs. Venom battles. #346-#347 he had Torch's help, though. yeah but he never actually defeated him. from memory... i could be wrong I was a bit a Venom nut growing up: The first battle (#300) he defeated him by continually snapping Venom's weblines and causing his symbiote to exhaust itself by making Venom constantly shoot new weblines. The 2nd time (#316-317) is a little more questionable but he still didn't have help. He tried to rejoin with the symbiote to stop Venom from continuing, but as the symbiote tried it collapsed because it had already bonded with Brock fully. But other than that, he did have help. The help wasn't fighting alongside him or anything though, they were more like interferences from outside influences (other than obvious help from Torch in that story). ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

As for the others, I am an Image fan, so when I collect a series I like to get all of the covers if possible. Plus, I like seeing how the phantom group and the ghost variant group are going to keep pushing each other.

And to be honest, if Indestructible Hulk wasn't an impulse buy for me, I would have gotten that cover as well. I guess they do a ton of business there. or lots of spending anyways. my bro and dad have a pretty impressive collection. the old man mainly collects golden age phantom and shadow books.
