The half-sketch cover is supposedly very rare, although I haven't been able to find any concrete ratio for it. I have one myself. :)

Considering the cover price is $3.99, I wouldn't consider a $1 a big jump.

Here's one for you guys. It's not an issue, but the first trade paperback of JLA, New World Order, is so expensive. The one that I am referring to has
this
cover. It seems that no one has this book. Granted, it is around 15 years old, but still. The only copy I found on eBay with this cover has it listed for $99 or best offer, and it is not listed on Amazon or on this site at all.

Deadpool + Venom is the first part of the equation.
The second part is that this was actually a collection of back-up stories from the What If issues from that year. So, people like me who bought all the What Ifs didn't bother buying this reprint a few months later. Very likely made for an extremely low print run.

That is crazy. I'm not sure why a reprint, or a reprint (TPB are reprints of original issues) would be worth so much.

Looking through some stores on here to fill in my ASM gaps and I stumbled across this
The lowest ones are just under $10! I have and read this issue and I don't remember reading anything too significant. Is it becuase MJ is on the cover? I know the Black Cat ones after this can be pricey too...

I think people like the cover, same as with 606 & 607. I'm just glad I noticed it before in one of the threads, because I found one at WizardWorld Portland for like $2. This and the "Recent Comic Book Pick-Ups" thread are quite handy in keeping up on hot books.

Gotta admit, Mary Jane is looking quite nice on that cover. But there's PLENTY of hot chick covers out there. There's gotta be more to it than just that.

The value depends where youre looking too. Ive seen some stuff priced way above cost on ebay, thats in local comic stores for a fraction of the asking price.

You can check for sold listings on eBay and it shows that ASM 601 has sold anywhere from $7.50 to $17.00 within the last month which is crazy.

I agree with all of you guys with the Two in one book. Why is Walking Dead #1 so expensive. Once the t.v. show is over, the book isn't going to be worth much but thats what i think.
This book will never decrease in price, because of the huge demand for it, and the fact that the first print run was only like 7000 copies.

Low print runs and it was right at the end of the series before the New 52.

Listing more books to sell and stumbled across this:
Sudden drop in availability here on CCL compared to surrounding issues, plus a little price jump. Searched ebay and nothing screamed out at me as to why. Any ideas?

How about this one? Currently there are no copies available on CCL and eBay prices seem to be fetching $10-$15.

A lot of the New 52 #4 issues fetch a premium. Supposedly due to spine issues. Look at prices for Nightwing #4, Batman #4, etc.
Free shipping is available on ANY order $40.00 and above. No minimum books necessary. Whether it's 1 book or 100 books. If it's $40.00 or more, it ships FREE!
Also, if you buy 10 or more $1.00 books, all the $1.00 books are 25% off. Effectively making them $.75 books! I've got hundreds of them!
Come take a look!
