Ok I was going through the DB last night looking for things I need to add, fix and saw this. Well actually saw it before but kept forgetting about it. So anyways:

Amazing Spider-Man (1963) 300-B
Jul 2006
K-Mart Exclusive DVD Mini Comic

and

Amazing Spider-Man (1963) 300-D
Dec 2007
Mini-Comic

These are the same comic. Well actually the K-mart one is wrong. This comic was included with the Spiderman 2 & Origins 2 pack exclusive to Walmart. I seriously doubt they would have had an exclusive with both walmart and kmart.

I wouldn't be so sure about that.

Then show me how they are different. Both comics are identical, pretty much negating a exclusive. Not to mention I have searched every where for an image of a kmart exclusive dvd and cant find one. I can find walmart ones all over though.

Even if Kmart and Walmart both did issue exclusives, there doesn't appear to be any difference between them. I'm okay with invalidating one and keeping one, labeling it as "Mini-comic" and putting a note in the bio about it being packaged with the DVD.

I have a vague memory of the discussion when the K-Mart one was added. There was definitely a claim that they were different - size format or contents perhaps. I wouldn't be too quick to invalidate. Perhaps open a CR on it and leave open for comment.

Well if they both had exclusives then technically they are 2 different comics. However as I said, I am 99.9% sure someone pulled the wool over CCl's eyes. Or someone had the DVD and thought for some reason they bought at kmart or purchased with wrong title off ebay.

I am in no way being quick, I noticed this before and did some research then forgot about it till now.

This comic was originally packed inside of the Origins DVD which came with Spiderman 2. Which was exclusive to Walmart. You can google search any term regarding this comic:
amazing spiderman 300 walmart
Spiderman 300 origins walmart dvd
etc etc
and you will get about 13000 hits.

Now change walmart to kmart and the only hit is this thread. You would think if Kmart had one they might have at least one mention somewhere other then this DB.

I also wanted to add that even if for some reason Kmart did carry the dvd that this comic came in (Origins of Spiderman) it is still the same comic. So not 2 different comics, just same comic bought from 2 different stores.

I think one should be removed and title changed to "Sony Pictures Edition" since issue #50 variant that came with the Spiderman #2 collectors set is listed as such.
