So we restored our computer the other day. Rebooted/restored all the old files. I logged into my CCL software today to add more books to sell. I noticed that there are many titles under "My Collections" that are gone that I've added before. Also, under "Items I'm Selling", those same titles are gone, even though the items are still for sale on the website. What should I do??? I always hesitate in doing a synch, for fear of screwing things up further.

Do a sync. I just did one because Morning Glories #26 wasn't showing on the site but was in my database. These were 9 copies. 4 were added a couple weeks ago and 5 just this week. The sync did not fix the problem. As I was deciding what to do next I received an order for all 9 copies. It seems the buyer had them in his cart for over 24 hours. That is far too long. They need to time out long before that. I don't even know if they ever time out. How many books do I have just sitting in limbo...

Back to your problem...do a sync.

The following stores are all stores that I've dealt with or have become friends with through the forums and I highly recommend them all.
Comics Castle-AKA Pat McCauslin
Alpha Comics--ComicVortex--Comic Cellar--Hall of Heroes--Swifty's Olde Tyme Comic Shoppe

A question on doing a synch--does it synch info from the website TO the software, or does it synch from the software info TO the website? I just don't want to screw up my online store info.

I also just looked for my comicdata.sdf. None are there save for one from today (even though I used the software yesterday), and it says windows can't open the file. Should I try to re-restore the files from Carbonite first (my back up source)?

Just tried to re-back up the .sdf file from Carbonite. Gave me this alert:

"/>

Anyone?

Thanks for the suggestion on the synch, Pat. But it sounds like the problem you had was the opposite of mine. My problem is that the website/live market is correct, but I need it reflected on the desktop software.

Full sync will fix this.

Synch will take a few hours, right? And it won't affect my store/live market?

All right....this is getting weird.

So I just opened up my CCL software, and voila!...all of my info seems to be there, just from before. Only difference was that I didn't open the program by right-clicking and going to "Run as Administrator". As I mentioned in a previous thread, I started doing this because the LAST time I restored my computer I was unable to save my data (an "Unauthorized Access" alert would appear) unless I first opened the program this way. Now it seems I'm getting two different versions of my software history, depending on whether or not I open the program as an administrator.

Seems I can still add books and it'll still save when I close the program though. So saving the info when prompted isn't necessary? It does it anyway somehow?

Appreciate all the input, by the way. Nice to know I can go somewhere that people can help out.

In Options > Location Paths there are two check boxes, At Close and Ask. If Ask is not checked and the other is then it will backup without telling/asking you.
