Wow. I think I've seen five bands total (plus their opening acts) in my whole life, let alone this many all in one year!

Wow Barney, that is an amazing number of bands! The only person I know who has seen that many or close to it is my friend that works in the local music scene and books bands for shows. So are you a nightclub bartender or something? Laughing

I can't tell you the names of any of the bands but I did go to the Richmond Folk Festival this year and saw about a half dozen acts.

I haven't been to a concert in a while. My last concert was I think in 2011 Halloween Hootenanny with Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie.

This year I have seen several bands and performers during the intermissions at Predators games including:
Vince Gill
Alice Cooper (who sang with Vince Gill on guitar)
Charlie Daniels
Lee Greenwood
Harry Belafonte
Soul Incision (band of doctors at Vanderbilt Hospital)
Rubix Groove (80's cover band that dress as 80's icons)
Small Time Rock Stars (band when they can get no one else to play it seems)
Jack Black and the Cadillacs
Sixwire
several people that are apparently on the show Nashville
other cover bands that I cannot remember the names of (doesn't necessarily mean that they aren't worth remembering though)

I also saw several random performances while walking around Broadway during Fan Fair (or whatever it's called now), didn't really hang out as I was down there during my lunch and I was also doing more watching of the ladies in sundresses and cowboy boots than paying attention to people on stage.

And if you want to count hearing bands perform while waking by the countless bars around downtown then I might come close to that number of bands that original poster barney has seen

They're pretty good. They change up what they dress us sometimes. So far I have seen them as:
Johnny Lawrence (lead singer)
Teen Wolf
Robocop
Mario
Pee Wee Herman
Edward Scissorhands
Bubblebee (or some other similar Transformer)
Han Solo
Princess Leia
Punky Brewster (I think, the clothes were right but girl was blonde)

no not a baretender of club promoter just put alot of hours in at work each week. however usually have weekends (or at least saturdays off, since its Sunday today and im at work). I try to find something to do on any off day I have. To be fair there were 2 rock festivals in there. (I did spend all the time at one of them front row center, 4 days straight that was very exhausting). The wife thinks i should slow down a bit the last 3 years straight I've seen approximately 50 bands each year. I dont know I might this year (I did however just buy tickets yesterday to see Def Leppard, Poison & Tesla)

At FreedomFest 2017 I got to check off several of my bucket list bands this past summer:
Romero
Hericane Alice
Autograph
Lynch Mob (X) done!
Firehouse (X) done!
Lita Ford
Winger
Warrant (X) done!

Finaly got to see Queen (X) DONE!!!!!!!!
that was a phenomenal show

and A Perfect Circle (they totally suck, but the tix were free so why not......) as much as I love Tool, Maynard's little side-project is just terrible. Saw them open for NIN once too, the best part was when they covered The Cure in a parody of Love Song to show their appreciation for NIN's road crew.

The "Weird Al" show was a semi-acoustic show and except for a medley of hits at the end he only played his more obscure original songs. it was different but great.
