E-Bay sales ads claiming it's the second appearence of DCU Harley Quinn. Prices up close to $100 for book-in-a-box listings. Double digits at mycomicshop as well.

Actual raw copies sold are only ten bucks or less. Copies still available at that price too.

$12 VF's, $9 Fines.

Obviously if you shop around you can find a copy at some point for under $10 but most are still in the ranges quoted and with up to 3 more movie appearances in the works demand could go up and take the price with it again. If you really want a deal pop it in CCL's Wish List and wait for the next person to load a whole box at the same price so you can get a deal. It's happened at least 5 times in CCL history that someoone's let it go for $1.25 or less according to the stat page.

The cheapest copy on E-Bay right now is $13.49 counting shipping.

Another one I found. Just scrolling through to get an idea of what the Venom and Carnage issues are going for, and I see Amazing Spider-Man #365 has skyrocketed - I know it's the 30th anniversary special, hologram cover, and kicks off the Peter's parents subplot. When I got it a few years ago, it was standard dollar fare. What made it jump to double digits? Something to do with the movies?

Amazing Spider-Man #365 is the 1st Appearance of Spider-Man 2099.

He apparently showed up in the after credit scene on the last animated Spider-Man movie ( I did not see it yet.)

Check out the ebay prices on Spider-Man 2099 #1 from 1992 and the Toy Biz variant that came with the figure.

Haha. I just listed a copy of Spider-Man 2099 #1 here last night for two bucks. All these people trying to sell them for $20 when there's still a zillion copies out there in the wild. There's always the prestige collector willing to overspend on books, but realistically it'd be hard to get more than five bucks for it.

Good grief, that's not a first appearance. It's a preview of an upcoming issue.

Still first time in print. Then you have all these speculators scouring old copies of Marvel Age looking for the first "true" printed appearances of characters, looking for the Next Hot Book. Makes for some interesting orders.

First Appearance of Spawn was just an ad in a comic in another mini series but it still keeps getting asking numbers all over the place and might jump again as the next Spawn movie gets closer. Rust #1 (1992) My sets safely stored away here at CCl where noone will find it. Devil

Water soaked on the bottom copy of Giant-Size Ms Marvel just left for $20. All because there's a cat in it. Rolling on the Floor

If I understand this, it's not even the same cat that's in the movie? Ooh

Here's a bit of an odd one. One of the last few Batman hardcovers I've been missing has been Batman: Nine Lives and I generally check once or twice a day for new listings of it.

In the last 48 hours, 3 copies have sold for <$15, but 4 copies have been listed for at least $40 (none sold).

Admittedly it's a small sample size and it legitimately could just be someone got several copies and bought up the cheap ones to try and convince others to buy their more expensive ones as the only choice... but I'm wondering if someone else knows something I don't.

edit: I think it was just people speculating on the Joker movie, since there are two things in the HC that share similarities with the movie. Namely the Joker not having a Batman linked origin and also being a sympathetic character.

I sold the Ms. Marvel variant quite a while ago. Made sense with the Ms. Marvel buzz. Yesterday I sold the Hasbro variant and the Choo variant to two different customers all of a sudden. Ebay still has them easily in the $10-20 range. Not sure what the deal is. Bored speculators, I'd say. Need to buy something.

Some speculation:

It's the first team-up between Spider-man (Peter Parker) and Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) which they're doing in the first two issues of the new Marvel Team-up series.

Is it the first appearance of Spider-man UK?

The villain is trying to kidnap a baby in a Terrigenesis cocoon, maybe that baby becomes something eventually?

Things that it's probably not:

Dr. Minerva is the villain, but doesn't seem to be anything special about her in that issue.

First time Clash (Clayton Cole) appears not in a flashback (ASM 1.1-1.5 Learning to Crawl)

Things that I know it's not:

Not Silk first time using webbing (she does that in ASM #4 her first appearance)

Not Silk first time in costume (that's ASM #8)

First full appearance of Knull, God of the Symbiotes. He first appeared in Thor: God of Thunder #6, but never spoke and was unnamed at the time.

Of course it was just my luck I decided to unsubscribe from Venom when the new series started. I'm mostly caught up, but still missing #2-4. Whatever I saved by getting the other issues cheap will be eaten up by #3. But such is life.

Thanks! I am planning on checking this shop about 20 minutes north of my place this weekend. They always have back issues still on the shelf and will "find" other recent issues for a fair price. He helped me get the AMS 794-797 for $6 per issue last year when they were going for $15-20 a piece.
