It appears E-Bay is now charging Sales Tax to States the customer lives in, deposits the Sales Tax into our PayPal accounts, where Payal Fee's and PayPal Woking Capital amounts are deducted from the Sales Tax so when we have to pay that Sales Tax back to E-Bay, the original amount they collected from the customer and deposited into our accounts isn't there to be collected so the missing amount comes out of our pockets. I'm assuming E-Bay's also taking 10% of the total Sales Tax also in commisions at the end of the month so even more comes out of our pockets.
I've had about enough of PayPal so it makes me think that there has to be some alternative out there now CCL could use or at least make accepting PayPal OPTIONAL for individual stores. I have my own credit card processing available by phone and thru my own site so it shouldn't be required to have to funnel money thru PayPal, especially when their processing rate is higher than the alternatives I have doing it myself, even if that means accepting a phone call call in for card payments with each order. PayPal customers with PayPal Debit cards can still check out using their cards thru alternative services.
Aren't there some alternatives like Google
Here's a breakdown of the uselessness of trying to have a sale thru CCL with no coupon code discount funneling thru PayPal.
Half Price sale
Customers gets a 50% Refund
PayPal Working Capital takes 30%
CCL takes 5%
PayPal takes 3-4%
What's left? About 15% of the total sale's original amount. That's maybe $15 on a $100 purchase not counting in shipping costs.
With a coupon code discounting the original purchase amount down to $50 before it goes to PayPal.
PayPal Working Capital get's $15
PayPal gets roughly $2
CCL gets $2.50 (same $2.50 CCL would have gotten after the refund of the $100 sale amount)
So the bottom line increases $30.50 left roughly.
Hopefully having the extra $50 left in the PayPal account the customer uses encourages them to spend more of the $50 that would have been refunded eventually up front since it's available to spend right now so the bottom line means everyone gets more immediately.
