Applause Applause Applause Man I really didn't want to be the one to get this thread to 100 pages without saying something related to the topic. Thanks for handling that Crossbow. Big Grin

So I went on a date. It was ok. I still don't see what the big deal about them are.

So that means there was no touchy-feely at the end of the date?

We had din and talked and blah blah blah. Just taking things slow for now. The girl in question just got out of a bad relationship. So I am not looking to jump into something that may lead to the need for heavy drinking.

So I was right in not rushing into anything with the girl I went out on a date with. I found out she is juggling two guys already. This is the type of crap I keep running into up here. Finding a decent person up here that is single is freaking difficult. Wall

Dear lord. It's similar to a situation I somehow avoided through shear luck. Turned out a friend of my sister's boyfriend wanted to date me, but I said no way to my sister when she mentioned that he asked about me. I'm involved with someone, and on top of that he has a girlfriend (which I'm not sure if he considers her one) and a child whom he lives with. I said "NO WAY and even if I was single, I'm not going to wrap myself in the middle of that type of drama".

For those of you looking for a "nerdy" girl or guy, try Comic-Con!

It seems the older I get the harder it is to avoid drama when it comes to dating. I keep getting told that all women are drama queens (by women who happen to be drama queens) so maybe I am just being to picky?

I actually just saw this and was going to suggest it to everyone. Sci-Fi Speed dating is a genius idea!

I might have to catch this show if I remember when it is on. The dating scene up where I am is basically..well..bars. Which I am not into at all as I don't drink almost at all.

The episodes I saw were both in New York with people from all over the region. Some cuties too.

Have you tried a dating service like online or over the phone? I know people who have met that way and ended up married. Good luck to ya, man.

HeavyEarly's post gave me an idea...How about when the next time you go to a convention, you befriend a couple of girls/potential datees? Having a network of people you know helps finding someone to date or get them to set you up with someone.

It may not be safe but life is full of risks. The more you get out the better your chances are of meeting someone you are compatible with. Happy

So far I have spent the New Year explaining to at least 3 different friends..why they should not be cheating on their boy friends...

Again..staying in the cave and only coming out for comics.
