Hello all!

I used to post on another forum about all the bargain purchases, or purchases in general, that I made to satisfy my comic book buying habits. I have since decided to move that topic over to these forums.

I don't have anything to post for today. I just wanted to get the space reserved before it was all bought up. I should have something to post soon. Or I'll probably go and find an older post from the other forum to put on here in the meantime.

Until then......HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

If you continue to follow me on this topic, you will soon find out that collecting sketch cover editions is a thing of mine that I like to do. How about I show you guys a book that I picked up back in May of this year.

I already had a copy of this book. I was just trying to pick up another copy in better condition.

ENJOY!!!!!

If you liked that one, check out these two beauties that I picked up not too long ago:

EXCELSIOR WEB-HEADS!!!!!
(lol.....Get it? It works on SO many levels.)

Check out this beauty that my little lady picked up for me for Christmas. It's a very nice copy of Avengers (Series 1) #60.

One of my New Year's resolutions for 2010 is to either finish or get VERY close to finishing a full run of Avengers (Series 1). I have most of the later issues. I'm trying to knock them out in chunks. Finding the earlier issues, in grades that satisfy my eye, is going to be the hard part of it.

I'm not promoting another board or site or anything like that but it seems like I remember chatting with a Bobbafet on another board like Marvel or over at Mick's Tavern(man I don't even know if that site is even up anymore. It's been a few years since I was on there).Oh Mick's Tavern is not the name of the url so I can't be guilty of promoting another site and well everyone already knows about Marvel.

Hey! What up ukblueky?

I'm pretty sure that that wasn't me. I'm not familiar with Mick's Tavern. I know about the Marvel site, but I don't think that I've ever posted on there. That's good to know that there's someone else out there posing as me. I think it's about time to shut their operation down. j/k Cool You can chat with me though. I'm here now and I'm planning on being on here for awhile.

Who out there has a craving for some late-night munchies? If so, I can't help you with that. Sorry! However, I can help you if you have a craving for some late-night forum posting.

I'm hanging outside a CiCi's Pizza piggybacking off their free WiFi. That's what you have to do when the only high-speed internet you have is on your phone. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do to make it happen.

Yesterday my g/f and I decided to head out and take a look at an outlet mall to see what we could come up with. The mall was pretty much a bust. It had a couple of book stores, but most of the shops dealt with clothing. Ended up finding a pop-up Wolverine book that we're going to give to my son as a late Christmas gift. You wanna see what else I was able to find?

CHECK IT!!!!!

Punisher: War Journal: Goin' Out West (Marvel Premier Edition)

Stephen King's Dark Tower: The Gunslinger Born (Marvel Premier Edition)

The mall was only about a 45-minute drive on the way there. Granted we had great weather. It decided to start snowing while we were there. It ended up taking us about 2-1/2 hours to get back. There were parts of the drive where it was pitch-black and you couldn't make out where the road ended and the ditches started. We were doing well to stay on the road doing 40mph. We were being passed left and right like we were sitting still. We were both amazed at how many people had a lack for not only their personal safety but also for the safety of all the other people on the road.

Oh well......what can you do except........ENJOY!!!!! ;)

MY FIRST POST OF 2010!!!

Well.....it's finally here; 2010. Can you believe it? Remember 10 years ago when we all thought it was going to be the end of the world? Who would have thought that we would make it this far? What better material to include in my first post of 2010 than to show you what my last purchase of 2009 was.

You wanna see what I picked up as 2009 was winding down?
I will post each book in an individual reply so you can pick and choose what you would like to comment on (if anything).

I visited a shop that was off the beaten path and I think that it worked out for me. Neither my g/f nor I had ANY idea that this store even existed. I just happened to come across an ad of his that was up on Craigslist and decided to check it out. I didn't have enough time to go through everything that he had. I'm planning on going back tomorrow. I wasn't able to make it there today before he closed.

YOU READY!!!?

Here is a group-shot of what I found:
