Well, as you all know by now we, as a branch of Truthful Comics, have created a non-profit organization through which we give away FREE comic books to children all over Virginia. Since we started in 2011, we've given away 10,000+ comic books in numerous events and more than 75% of those comic books have been bought from my wife's and my money, with the exception of a very few people who've donated some comics to us, with Donovan "Don" Flores (owner of Curious Goods and Comics) being our main supporter.
As you might imagine, this is a very rewarding endeavor, but also a very expensive one, so we had to come up with a way to get some funds in a way that people would feel compelled to help us out. This is how the idea of our "I SUPPORT COMICS FOR CHRISTMAS" t-shirts. For only $10.00 you can buy a 100% cotton t-shirt with the Comics For Christmas logo in the front and the words "I SUPPORT COMICS FOR CHRISTMAS" in the back. This is a way to stand for something that's so important, introducing kids to reading through comic books. If you're interested in buying a t-shirt send a $10.00 money order to:

Manuel A. Carmona
507 C Birmingham Ave.
Norfolk, VA 23505

This is your opportunity to take a stand for a cause that matters, the future of many kids throughout Virginia and soon, all over the United States and Puerto Rico! Thank you for your support from the bottom of our hearts.

Sincerely;
Manuel A. Carmona

P.S. When you recieve your t-shirts, take a photo of you or a family member wearing the Comics For Christmas t-shirt and send it through us, that way we'll post it on our web site.

Well, haven't checked in lately but I wanted to let ya'll know what we've been up to. First we did our 1st ver Halloween Comics Giveaway followed by The Harvest Festival. We gave away more than 2,000 comics in those two events and we still have an event coming up that I'm very excited about, our 2nd Annual Children's Hospital of the King's Daughters visit on December 15, 2012. I'd like to thank anyone who's shown support to our cause, especially our biggest supporter; Don Flores!

Here's the link to our Truthful Comics Events page so ya'll can watch the pics we've taken in each event:
