excellent examples - 5FPDs version of "Bad Company" is superior to the original!
same for Johhny Cash's "Hurt" and his version of "Rusty Cage" also rocks.

Though I've never cared much for Marilyn Manson's original stuff, their/his covers are all pretty darn cool.
