Best guess is over 1000 long boxes. I've been collecting since 1957 (yes, I'm old). Hey Pat, you ever get inundated with vagina from them being overly impressed by that huge comic collection? I assume there has to be groupies to go along with that, no? My wife is all the woman I need. Besides, my comics are not the huge thing that impresses the ladies (actually nothing does). At my age I'm just happy to not have to go to the bathroom every hour or two due to high blood sugar and to not need to wear Depends (yet). Haha, you're the best! And here's to not needing depends....yet!

It really doesn't matter how many comics you own; what matters is that you collect what you like. I have a lot of books compared to some folks, but it is largely because my tastes aren't that expensive. I'd take a run of All-Star Squadron over a run of X-Men any day of the week.

I can't say exactly how many comics I own. I know for a fact that I have 13,000+ comics listed on CCL and that fits into 45 long boxes. I have at least another 60 long boxes plus a couple dozen short boxes so I'm thinking at least 30,000 and possibly approaching 40,000? I've also got 10 long boxes or so of Graphic Novels and Trades. Certainly nothing close to what Pat at Comics Castle has! Check out Hall of Heroes for hard to find Gold & Silver Age comics! Marvel! DC! Gold Key/Whitman! ACG! Dell! Archie! I also have a diverse selection of Independent and Underground books for sale - with more on the way!

I collected as a teen in the early 90s, and carried most of that with me until now. I had two spells, one in '98 and another around 2004 where I bought comics for a few months. I am hitting it a bit harder now - just really started again last year.
I'm up to about 1200 or so, but I'm still cataloging everything, so don't know exact #. I have 5 longboxes, and because of our small house - they are stacked on the dresser. my wife just LOVES it! ;)

I'd have to say without counting I'm somewhere around 2000 or so. I got back into reading and collecting again in 2011 after many years away from the hobby. A problem for me is almost everything I pick up "just to try it" I end up liking and want to get evey issue. Dang comics are like crack.
My Pull Lists:
Marvel: Indestructable Hulk, Red She-Hulk, Captain America, Fearless Defenders, Thor: God Of Thunder.
DC: Flash, Aquaman, World's Finest, Batwoman, Batgirl, Detective Comics, Action Comics, Superman.
Other: Jennifer Blood.

I think I have 3000 or so. But approximately half of my collection are in Turkish. I've been trying to replace some of them with the original ones for 5-6 years.
