OK, so I picked up the Witchblade: Movie Edition #1 today. Can someone explain why this title has been marked invalid: http://www.comiccollectorlive.com/LiveData/Issue.aspx?id=6722593e-a744-4b39-a5e2-381fa92ad94eAnd switched to being a variant of Witchblade #1? http://www.comiccollectorlive.com/LiveData/Issue.aspx?id=e039b099-153e-4044-a7f8-e34ee326f977I understand that the comic is a reprint of Witchblade #1, but the indicia does read: WITCHBLADE: Movie Edition I can provide a pic if necessary.

My guess is that it was put as a Variant of Witchblade #1 specifically because it is a straight reprint of that issue. It's not uncommon for us to put reprints books as variants of the original regardless of the indicia.

Is this something that has been discussed and all Approvers are in agreement and on the same page on this? I just want to make sure this is going to stick and not find out later that it's been changed back when it's later determined to stick with the Guidelines of going by the indicia. I don't know how many times Evil Ernie #0 has been moved around but it seems like every time I change where I have it, that is also marked Invalid.

Yes, all of the Approvers are in agreement with keeping single reprints as variants of the original issues, except in unusual or extraordinary circumstances. Titles that are entirely reprinted issues (Classic X-Men, the final 29 issues of Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes, etc.) are obviously exceptions to this rule.
Sorry, but I'm unable to shed any light on the Evil Ernie situation. I know virtually nothing about that property.
