I didn't start off reading super hero comics. No, I was more into House of Mystery, Weird War Tales, EC Comics, Sgt. Rock, Werewolf by Night, G.I. Combat and stuff like that.
And then there were the Monster Comics! I was a Godzilla junkie and watched all of those cheesy Japanese creature flicks. It only seemed natural to pick up Monsters on the Prowl, Creatures on the Loose and their ilk. Also being a rabid fan of H. P. Lovecraft made it easy to like the stories - huge, horrible Beasts from places unknown versus ordinary, average citizens! Gosh, what excitement!
A lot of the entities introduced in this era were memorable more for their name than anything else and were one-shot adversaries that never really caught on with the major Marvel Universe. But some of them did.
So, question is...which one is your favorite?
If there is one I haven't listed feel free to post your idea. Fin Fang Foom
