Rules are the same as usual:
Picks must be in before Thursday Night's game begins. If you don't get picks in before that you can still pick the weekend games but you take a loss for the Thursday game. Make sure you also try to guess the combined score for the Monday night game(s) for use as a tiebreaker in Weekly Winner.
Straight up Pick 'Em - no point spreads. There are four scoring categories: Win/Loss, Prime Time, Lock Pick and Weekly Winner. Your Overall Score will be the aggregate of where you finish in these four categories. You get 10 points for finishing in 1st place, 9 for 2nd place, 8 for 3rd place and so on.
Win/Loss: Each week your record is added to the previous week and you get a percentage score. If you are 8-8 the first week then you get a 50%. Next week you go 9-7 bringing your record to 17-15 for a 53% total.
Prime Time: Same as Win/Loss but only for the Prime Time games. All Thursday night, all day Saturday, Sunday night and Monday night games will count.
Lock Pick: Each week you select one team that you guarantee will win outright. Whether the team you select wins or loses you can only pick each team one time. This is so you can't just pick the Patriots every week. A good strategy is to pick against a hapless team that you know is going to be bad. Used to be the Browns but that doesn't seem the case anymore. Maybe the Jets?
Weekly Winner - Whoever has the best Win/Loss each week becomes the Weekly Winner. If two or more are tied then the tiebreaker is whoever gets closest to the total number of points scored on Monday Night. Doesn't matter if you go over, this ain't The Price is Right! If there are two Monday Night games then it's the combined total of both
games. The Weekly Winner receives 2 points in that category. If you lose by tiebreaker you will receive 1 point.
Feel free to trash talk (respectfully
) or make side wagers (no cash involved
). Most importantly - Have Fun!
Good luck everyone, I hope your teams do well, unless you are a Cowboy fan.
