Thundercron wrote:Some people say that our memories and experiences make us who we are. Ten bucks says that eventually Peter's consciousness will "reform" in the recesses of Ock's mind. Then we'll have a split personality thing going on, or maybe a scenario like when the old alien symbiote would wander out while Pete was sleeping. Eventually Ock and Pete will have a mind-fight for control of Pete's body. Call in J.M. DeMatteis for this one. That is exactly how I picture this story unfolding. It will happen sooner if sales fall off. Later, if they remain strong.
Free shipping is available on ANY order $40.00 and above. No minimum books necessary. Whether it's 1 book or 100 books. If it's $40.00 or more, it ships FREE! Also, if you buy 10 or more $1.00 books, all the $1.00 books are 25% off. Effectively making them $.75 books! I've got hundreds of them! Come take a look!

Finally read it today, and I went with disliked it, but giving it a shot. I really hope Pete gets back in costume sooner, rather than later. I mean, who wants to read about spoiled Otto running around as Spidey? Sadly, Stephen Wacker hinted at a year of Superior. But that gives them time to bring Pete back in time for his return to the big screen.

With Otto knowing pete is spider-man, what will they do with this once they bring pete's mind back??? Have Otto lose his memory of the experience, go into a coma forever, or simply kill him??

He's already died once, technically twice if you count this incident. ***CHECK OUT MY COMIC TRADING LIST, CLICK HERE******TRADE VIDEO GAMES WITH ME, CLICK HERE******TRADE COMIC CARDS WITH ME, CLICK HERE***Make sure that you read and understand the forum rules here

I finally was able to read Issue 700 today. I hated it. Words cannot describe my hate for this. For the longest time I thought the dissolvement of Mary Jane and Peter's marriage to be the stupidest move that Marvel could do. Silver lining, once again the world has proven something even stupider could happen.
I am curious to know, to quote someone from earlier, how are they going to get away from the eeewww factor if Otto and MJ or Otto and Felicia do the wild thing? Otto will be a "grittier" Spider-Man, less jokes, more violence.

I was thinking on this.
Smartest thing Marvel could do. If you ever read Thunderbolts #1 V1, it talks about the Thunderbolts in the entire episode. Thunderbolts more popular than the Avengers, doing great in the polls, well liked by everyone. You get to the very last page ... Thunderbolts are the Masters of Evil and this is all a scam. Great read, I got a lot of people to buy that issue when I revealed the ending.
Superior Spider-Man #1 ending. Final panel reveals a cloning process whereby Doc Ock is trying to clone a new body for himself. It gives a clear distinction there will be an ending and one that is planned.

Oh, that was a spoiler. Didn't know until I was done reading. Thanks for the customary warning...

I stand corrected. However, the post sure didn't read like a hypothetical (to me, anyway).

I thought you were yelling at me for spoiling Thunderbolts which came out years ago, I actually had to ponder that one. I was using the Thunderbolts example as to how I thought Superior should be going.

As for Thunderbolts #1--I think after fifteen or twenty years that the book is long past it's spoiler expiration date. Sorry for the misunderstanding.
