What Is Your Favorite Comic Book Genre?

Mine should be pretty obvious: Super-heroes. I read mostly Marvel and DC Comics with the occassional licensed stuff and Star Trek comics.

However, even though super-heroes are my favorite genre, I do seem to enjoy the old horror comics like Vault of Horror and Tales From the Crypt a lot.

Mostly I've read superhero stuff.

When I would stay at my Aunt's she always had stacks of superhero stuff but, she also had westerns, romance, cartoons/tv characters and Archie. I was really tempted in picking up this weeks archie just because of the cover but, i had already dropped 50 bucks at the LCS.

I went with Fantasy because Conan is my comic book to read. Doesn't matter if it's Marvel old run or the newer Dark Horse stuff.

In my blog, I pretty much indicate the trajectory of my comic book interests. As a little guy I liked kid humour, Hot Stuff, Stumbo. Dennis the Menace and that kind of thing. Then I got into super-heroes--with occasional dips back into kid humour and Archie--before being almost exclusively interested in super-heroes. As the whole medium of super-hero comics goes south--in the last several years I've become interested in anything that makes people laugh. That seems to be a lot harder to pull off. The writers and artists who do this fun stuff don't get enough credit. I still admire illustarative art--along the lines of Burne Hogarth and Reed Crandall--but the super-hero comics aren't on my radar (unless it's vintage super-hero comics).

Superhero for me for the most part. Mainly a DC and Marvel guy. I do enjoy some older horror comics like House Of Secrets and House Of Mystery etc.. I did enjoy The Shadow and The Spider from Dynamite until I cut down my pull list last year. I consider them more Noir for lack of a better term. Jennifer Blood is on my pull list. Not sure what to call it. Psycho Woman Seeking Revenge? That would fit?

Like the majority. I am really into the super hero stuff. Someone earlier said Conan. I like that genre as well. Sword and sorcery. I will read Dungeons and Dragons type stuff from time to time.

(referring to an original comic book piece) This is a art gallery my friend and THIS is a piece of art.

Voted Superheroes, but Horror, Sci-fi, and fantasy are all great too.
