I drew a cover for CCL member first_citizenX's independent comic book called Reliant Presents. Expect to hear more from him very soon!! Have a look! (on a side note, I orginally thought the title was Tales from Thunder City but in fact this was for Reliant Presents.) Shop At My Store!!

Wow Errant, Your inks are really strong.
Come check out the new story line in The BRILLIANT BELLA as BELLA meets the legendary GOLEM and finds herself with "FEET OF CLAY". Written by Thomas Morrison and drawn by Tiina Birgitta Räisänen.

Nice job EE! That's a pretty sweet cover. I've picked up some of the earlier copies of Reliant Presents, and Tales from Thunder City, and have been waiting for the new issues to come out, so will definately be getting these. Look forward to more collaborations between Relaint Publishing and Errant Entertainment too - keep em' coming!

Bill Guerro, the owner and publisher of Reliant Publishing did the colors and does all of the interior artwork. I'm not sure what application he used to color it though. I'll send him a PM with a link to this thread and maybe he can weigh in! Shop At My Store!!

I've seen most of the interior of this issue and it's a pretty cool story arc that he's starting. I can't wait to see it in print. Shop At My Store!!

meangreenninjame wrote:looks good, did you do the colors in photoshop or illustrator? I see Jim got the ball rolling here, so I get to be lazy and not do anything. My kind of day! To answer the above question, I did the colors in photoshop. It seemed like it took forever for me to do, but I was just getting fussy towards the end....I was being my own worst enemy. BUT, I think it all turned out pretty cool in the end. I'm glad you all like it, I think Jim did a great job! I just sent him the issue and said it should be in a "Tales of Suspense" type split book vibe and he knocked it out of the park. If only everything in my life was so easy! Anyway, the issue should be turned into the printer next week and then it's out of my hands. It should be for sale 'round the end of the month. I also have another issue of Tales From Thunder City completed, it just needs to be scripted and lettered. Hopefully that will be available in April/May. D'Oh! I almost forgot to mention that the Reliant Publishing website has been totally revamped! www.reliantpublishingonline.com Please give it a look and hopefully you'll like it....or at least think it has pretty colors. Alright, it's late and I just got home from work. Time to watch King Of The Hill and get some sleep. I'll poke around more later!

Just to let everyone know, I have sent the issue off to the printer early this week. I've been notified that the files have been confirmed as printable and I should have the proof copy this upcoming week. Once I give it a flip through, I will give it the thumbs up and it will be available. I'll be sure to let you all know. Sorry about the delay. I started out the year redoing the website and then I got sick and was trying to work through it. Now that that is all behind me, I can move on along. Issue 6 has already been started AND I have another issue of Tales From Thunder City sitting here just needing to be scripted and lettered! I better stop wasting time and get back to work!

I inked it but a buddy of mine, James Mason (Star Wars Tales), colored it. He and I did the cover for Reliant Presents #6 and the upcoming #7. We may end up doing #8+ as well but I haven't talked with Bill about it yet. I'm hoping that as long as they are happy with my work I'll get to continue doing the covers. In other Reliant news, I've started work on the other ongoing title they have called Tales from Thunder City, which is a kick-ass superhero book. I can't reveal too much yet but I'm hoping I'll be able to do a solid run on the book, perhaps a story arc or two. Shop At My Store!!

SWEET! I suspected you inked it, it very closely fit your pencils that I saw earlier! Keep it up! I'm jealous. Hand lettered a few panels in a book, once upon a time, but that is the extent of my work... I wish I could, I wish I could...

Thanks Don! I'm hoping that my inking will greatly improve (along with my penciling) as I move forward with drawing entire books instead of just covers once in a while. We'll see how it turns out. I'll be experimenting with various differnt kinds of ink and pens to see what I'm most comfortable with. Although, (I'm hoping) to find an inker for this project at some point as I'd really like to speed up the process of getting a book out. Alone I think I could do one every two months but I know that the Reliant guys would probably be excited if I could turn something out on a monthly basis. Shop At My Store!!
