I want the ability to block either entire forums ("Games") or specific sections of a forum ("Superhero Showdown"). Because I simply don't care. I don't care about the Soap Games, or the fantasy superhero fights, or what not.
Lemme block those threads.

Lemme block those threads. Is someone forcing you to read those?

Lemme block those threads. Is someone forcing you to read those? No. But when I click "Active Topics" to see what's new in the forums, I get 2-3 pages of new posts, and a ton of things I couldn't care less about. Just now, there were 9 new Soap posts, another Superhero Showdown and the "top five fast food joints." Isn't this supposed to be a place to post suggestions for things we'd like to see improved/changed? That's what I did.

Yeah I'm it sure could be done but it would take a lot of time. I could put it on my list though. What you could do instead is not use the active topics list and simply click the box next to the "Water Cooler" title with the "-" in it so that becomes a "+". That will hide the entire Water Cooler forum from view for you. Then, when you view the forum from the main page, you can just look for the "lit up" or unread icons denoting new or replied to threads. Just a suggstion till we can find time to put into forum features. Shop At My Store!!

Howzabout an overhaul of the image view feature? When you're in the image viewer window, it would be great to a) have a bigger cover image and b) be able to move back and forth between covers. It's a bit annoying having to re-click and select another cover every time. They already have this function on comics.org website and Collectorz.com, I believe.

Searches aren't used with "The" because there are so many titles that begin with "The." Just search for "Shadow" or maybe "Shadow (2012)." The Shadow (2012) by Dynamite.

And while I'm in this thread ... would it be possible (Steve, Errant, whomever) to allow more than 1 non-Approver to edit a CR? A lot of times, I'll see an existing CR, but it's not really complete. It's got a crappy cover scan that, like the Grinch's heart, it 2 times too small.
Or the credits won't be filled in. Or there'll be a spelling error, or a caption issue, that could easily be taken care of ... except someone else entered in the unfinished CR.
They (the CRs) still have to go through Approvers anyway, so it's not like anybody can add anything to an entry. This isn't Wikipedia, after all. :)
I don't know if this software/website can actually allow multiple non-Approvers to edit entries, but it would be helpful if someone had a bit of information they wanted to tack onto an existing CR.

I agree completely. While we may not want to open it up for just anybody to modify somebody else's submission (so easy to create mischief), I could see us creating another class of user, called something like Editor, that could be given the ability to edit, but not approve.

That's how we started out, IIRC. I was not a full-fledged Approver initially, but could edit and modify CR's - just not approve. I understand your point of creating mischief, but I'd hope CCL's members would be more mature than that. And if someone does mess CR's up (on purpose), the fact that they edited it would be tracked and I don't think CCL would appreciate that too much.

And, again, if there is no "approval" ability, the changes would still have to go through an Approver. And I'd hope that our Approvers would catch Jack Kirby drawing Action Comics #1, or Bob Kane being the artist on Captain America #600. :)

I would like the software to be free. The free one would let you have 250 comics. So you guys can make money, you pay for the pro version that would let you add unlimited comics
I wear a mask. And that mask, it's not to hide who I am, but to create what I am.
