I can think of several Avengers that I cant stand. Some of them I like, just not as Avengers. Dr. Druid Dr. Strange Triathalon Hellcat Mantis Wolverine (should stay an Xman only) Spiderman (should stay a solo hero) Luke Cage Firestar Gilgamesh Sersi Sandman

How could you forget this guy?  As well as Rage, I'd also include: Gilgamesh, Firestar, Justice, Silverclaw, U.S.Agent, Wolverine, Iron Fist.

My first thought was the Swordsman, that's almost like having Conan as an Avenger. Woo-hoo I have a sword! But yeah Rage was pretty bad.

I really can't believe that no one to this point has mentioned Moon Dragon. She plain bores me and doesn't seem to quite every fir into Avengers continuity.

I consider her more of a cosmic character than a real Avenger, like Captain Marvel and Quasar. Those type of Avengers are usually only called in for cosmic situations.

Wolverine. This guy is supposed to be a loner who had trouble dealing with authority figures and taking orders. Now he's on all these teams and even leading some. Nuh uh, not my Wolverine!

I would say there are two Avengers eras that gave us some real bad Avengers. There was the mid 90's with Rage, Sandman, Deathcry, Sersi, Magdalene, Swordsman etc.
Of that bunch, I'd have to pick Deathcry and Sandman as my two least favorite.
The other era is the one we're in currently. And...all these characters are not bad characters, just bad Avengers: Wolverine, Dr. Strange, Daredevil, Iron Fist Cage etc. etc.
There have been other bad Avengers, but these two eras really piled it on.

Triathalon +1 Other LESS than honorable mentions: Doctor Druid Swordsman Silverclaw Justice/Firestar - joined at the hip, I can't stand the two. I'll take either of them without the other though :)

That era of Avengers SUCKED! Marvel was trying so hard to make The Avengers into The X-Men, because this was when X-Men popularity was through the roof and Marvel was raking in the dough off of X-Titles. Problem is, they were no longer The Avengers, so all their fans stopped buying it.

I always seen the Avengers as the team that most, if not all, heroes was part of. So I could see alot of them being on the team...but as reserves like Spiderman was in the 90s. Wolverine, Daredevil, Dr Strange, Iron Fist, Cage, etc...should be reserves. But with the list... Swordsman Moon Dragon Two Gun Kid Hellcat Starfox Druid Namor D-Man Stingray Sandman Rage Machine Man Living Lightning Darkhawk Justice Firestar Triathlon Silverclaw Jack of Hearts Storm Agent Venom (sure...and Spidey doesn't know this yet?)
