Why do people always walk backwards in horror movies and TV shows? If I was lost and alone in an abandoned prison, graveyard, forest, church, delicatessen, 7th plane of Hell, ghost ship, beer cooler, Mayan pyramid or darkened alley the last thing I want to do is walk backwards. That is the surest way to guarantee the alien/slasher/creature/zombie/whatever will be face to death-breath face with you as soon as you turn around. Head on a swivel!
