whats the best way to prevent spin rolls in your collections? I know they occur (for the most part) when you just just over cram boxes and the books are off set from each other but how else does it occur other than that if there is another way and what do the veteran collectors do or even care?

I just assumed backing boards that actually fit the book would suffice.

I thought so too but all the bags and boards fit the comics. all modern books in modern B&B's. I'm assuming its because the boxes are to wide so some books sit more to left while others sit to far to right of the box. Just wondering if other collectors have this issue.

2 comics per bag/board. 1 front and 1 back = no spine roll.

I suppose if the modern books are a little slim in the box, then I would suggest placing cardboard on one side of the books, making them fit tighter against the other side of the box.

I don't like putting two books in a bag, so I just flip every other book around so they're back to back. Same effect.

I got a family, on a budget, 2 comics per bag saves space, boards, and bags. It also helps with keeping the comics in neat order in the box maximizing space in the box. I'm not sure why you wouldn't do it any other way to be honest. Unless you have an unlimited budget and space. I also do BCW extenders, 1-2 per comic, 3 pages in front and back cover. Helps keep it straight when removing from mylar.
(Side Note: Always use mylar for storage and gerber boards...nothing cheap about that. I avoid modern size as it barely fits the comic, use regular/silver size mylar to give adequate room for comic and board to prevent corner damage.)

I got a family as well that includes two kids on a military budget, so i feel ya. I just like having every book facing the same way. I'm a military man so I like having everything dress right dress. the B&B's I use fit the moderns just right. silver ages let the book flop around to much and it bugs the living crap out of me. i wanna start getting mylars for my silver age books but those are an arm and a leg.
