I just noticed they put out an update to this recently so I gave it another whirl. It still doesn't work. I tried every conceivable angle in different lights and got nothing. It's not like the "special bonus content" is worth the effort anyway. The things junk. Anybody actually get this to work?

Works all the time for me. Maybe you need a better camera phone?

Best thing to do is either start wide (where you can see the entire page in the viewer) and slowly bring the AR icon into focus of your lens or the other way around, focus on the AR logo and then slowly pull back until focus comes in and the video loads.

Sometimes the app requires to see the entire page, sometimes just a few panels will do the trick.

I tried it when it first came out. Took longer to get the app to work than watch whatever useless content was there. I've always been surprised they continue using it.

Is there anything remotely worthwhile in the confent?

It's a bit of a craps-shoot really. Sometimes it's silly, useless stuff, other times you'll get the writer or artist describing the process of that specific page or panel... other times it's a short "history" lesson or "did you know" type of thing about a character or place relevant to the page in question.

I dunno, I think it's "neat". Would i miss it if it was gone? nope, but I still think it's a fun little extra if you got time to waste.

well, it turns out the comic I was trying it on is too old. It only shows content from the past 3 weeks apparently.. I saw the list of books that it will work on and I don't read any of them.. sooo yeah. Uninstalled.

I wish they'd make 3DS camera support for this. I still have a dumb-phone, so no app for me.

I have the app and have used it on a few Marvel books that use the app. I do think the tech involved is amazing. I also found it interesting but in the end. In my opinion, I thought it interrupts the flow of reading a comic. Starting and stopping to scan a panel wasn't doing it for me. I rather just read the book and enjoy the story and art. I will leave the extra bells and whistles for the next guy.

I only check out the AR stuff after I've read the issue.
