Wouldn't be very on brand for TaxSlayer to host Volunteers....

Oh, and did you hear the part where starting next year, if Notre Dame is ranked anywhere in the top 12, they're automatically in the CFP.

A few stories out there trying to say that so many teams are declining bowl invitations, and that's another story that's a bit disingenuous. Obviously, the whiny irish of ND dropped out of a bowl, and so did two Big 12 teams. But those were the only bowl eligible teams that declined. Then the bowls started going down the list of 5-7 teams to fill those now-empty slots, and several of them declined, because they had already started their offseason plans. That's why it looks like 8-10 teams refused a bowl, when it was really only 3.

I forgot to mention that. High and mighty Notre Dame taking their football and going home is pretty self righteous. Screw em.

WEEK 16

Navy Midshipmen - I usually go Army because I have more relatives that were there but I will take Navy this time on account of I think they're the better team.

FCS - Montana Grizzlies - I hate coyotes. Go bears.

Remember back in 2016 where the Tennessee coach made some stupid claim about being "Champions of Life" and then lost the next game to Vanderbilt?

Well, as a joke, I've been tracking the Championship of Life ever since. The idea is that whoever beats the current Champion of Life takes the title until someone beats them. (It's a lot like "The Belt", which incidentally matched up with the championship of life a while back.)

Unfortunately, the latest matchup was when Notre Dame beat Stanford to end the season. However, I don't feel like their actions since then are indicative of a "champion of life". I'm heavily leaning towards declaring the winner of the Pop Tarts Bowl as the next Champion of Life and going on from there.

I can't tell you who the Champion of Life should be but I definitely know who it is not. Sherrone Moore.

That whole Michigan staff (mostly assembled by Harbaugh) looks very suspicious. Elsewhere, someone pondered if it might be the most corrupt coaching staff ever. If it is, I don't think it was intentional, as in, there wasn't a conscious effort to do things to gain advantages. I think that Harbaugh is a weird dude and probably missed a lot of what everyone else would consider red flags when hiring people.

And we're going with the winner of the Pop Tarts Bowl as the new Champion of Life....this way, it also separates it from "The Belt", at least for a while.

Man....Champions of Life.....Butch with his "brick by brick" and "complementary football" and other stupid cliches.
The same guy that kicks Jauan Jennings off the team who was the receiver for the "Dobbnail Boot" Hail Mary vs Georgia, probably the highlight of Butch's career.

Man......Vols have had some junk after Fulmer, starting with that jerk Lane.
