Who is the white guy? I'm assuming a White Lantern. Maybe he was the one the White Lantern is destined for, the one that is currently residing in a crater on Earth that no one has been able to lift yet (in Brightest Day).
But who is that? Is it someone we already know? Or a new player?
Oh, and that artist is a relative newbie the name of Tyler Kirkham. Apparantly he was recently working on some stuff at Marvel (Ultimate Fantastic Four, Amazing Spider-Man), but is now exclusively DC.

He (animal man) just died so makes sense he's a resurrected white lantern right?

Oh yeah, I see it now. He kind of reminded me of Kirkman's Invincible, so I couldn't see that it was Animal Man until it's now pointed out to me. Didn't he have some stupid vest or something, though?

Maybe it's Ted Kord(Blue Beetle)?
As for Kirkman. His artwork has progressed nicely since his days at Image.I've always enjoyed his work though.Really liked his work on Codename:Stryke Force.
Now that I look at the picture again that symbol,or whatever it is,on his chest resembles an A.So it may be Animal Man.

That's what I thought when I first looked at it, but since Animal Man was mentioned I think it's him.

That was a futuristic story, not grounded in current continuity. Think of it as something like X-Men: The End.

Maybe his connection the White Lantern has to do with his increase in power that happened in 52. He was only able to access animal's powers, strictly animals. Then in 52, he was able to access all living thing's powers. Maybe it'll turn out that he has some connection to life itself, which is what the White Power is.

I have the animal man mini, he doesn't die in it. I don't think it was an elseworlds or future story, it was in current continuity. Animal man loses his powers completely in the mini, maybe they gave him a white ring so he could have powers again, since at the end of the mini he was powerless and decided to man the JLA satellite so he could still contribute to the fight.

I have The Last Days of Animal Man mini too, and it was definitely a future story. Buddy still has his powers in current continuity, and his kids are still kids. In that series they were much older.
