I was excited, but now that you point that out, I gotta agree.
sorry to bring you down man lol I just think that with a well as deep as their's that I'm tired of seeing Superman, but it's not just DC because Marvel does the same thing with the 13 different variations of the X-Men cartoons that have come out.
At least Marvel has tried other things for TV. Fantastic Four, Iron Man, Hulk (
live action & Animated), SuperHero Squad, Blade (
live action), Mutant X & countless Spider-Man related shows.
Not to mention all the movies of different characters.
Blade
Ghost Rider
Elektra
Daredevil
Incredible Hulk
Spider-Man
X-Men
Fantastic Four
Iron Man
Punisher
and now Thor, Captain America and Avengers.
There were even some that Marvel wasn't directly involved in like Red Sonja, Howard The Duck & Man-Thing.
How many DC properties have made it to the screen? Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman and Flash.
Swamp Thing, SuperGirl, Catwoman, Watchmen and Jonah Hex.
I don't know... I've always viewed it as WB not wanting to take risks. As long as Superman and Batman keep raking in the cash, the WB execs will keep looking in that direction.
Look at how many films and TV pilots have remained unaired or scrapped at pre-production from DC/WB.
That's why I say that if Green Lantern doesn't get decent reviews or make a buttload of cash.. it'll be a looooooong time before WB ever thinks of making anything else than Batman or Superman movies.
