I'm not finding a good use for this...

I may be blind to it...

What is the best use for it?\

Hmmm. Never really looked into it until you mentioned it here.

I thought maybe I could use it for inventory tracking. For example, creating an "Ebay Item" tag so I can tag CCL items listed on ebay. I created the tag, but don't know how to assign books to it.

'Tis a mystery.

I remember him explaining what the "stacks" were. Don't recall what he said about the tags.

It is easy to add a Tag to your Dashboard.

Select Tag from your Main Dashboard.
Select Add New Tag.
Enter the Name of the Tag, such as Ebay or Box 1.

The Tag should now be available to add to a book .

To add a Tag to an item, select the item, select Edit, scroll down to the Tag section, pick the Tag you want to use, Update the item and you are on your way to a new level of OCD in collecting!

I use the Tags to locate comics in my collection. I store my ongoing titles in their own longbox which is labeled and easy to find. My random books and limited series and other stuff are placed in longboxes in the order of purchase and the boxes are numbered. Those books have a Tag such as Box 1, Box 2, etc. This makes it easy for me to locate them.

Yeah, I hadn't tried it yet either. I'll probably give it a shot.

Not very useful as a seller. The reason I couldn't figure it out is because I went to "edit listing", and the tag option didn't appear. So after digging, I found you have to seperately go into "edit item," in order to apply the tag. So for items already for sale at least, I'd have to delist the item, add the tag, then relist. Kind of lame. Even for unlisted items, I'd have to go into "edit item," hit "update," and then finally go to the "list item" page. Just more extra steps to waste time.

Might be useful for nonsellers, though.
