Skybreaker is an independently produced Canadian superhero comic created and written by Steven Boyd, a longtime comic retailer, collector, and now creator.

It is the flagship title of a new imprint called Bridgeverse, named after Saskatoon’s nickname “Bridge City.”

Skybreaker is positioned as classic superhero storytelling with a modern twist — not parody, not satire, but a sincere, traditional hero narrative.

Issue #1 launched September 13, 2025 at the SASKASSEMBLE!3 Comics & Collectibles Showcase in Saskatoon.

It was not crowdfunded — no Kickstarter, no Indiegogo.

It debuted exclusively through Comic Collector Live (CCL) with a limited print run."
