...was filmed how Resident Evil should have been.

Granted, the movie was pretty generic, I think the POV through the camera would have worked perfectly in a creep mansion and laboratory.

Anybody else like this movie or have similar thoughts?

It was released in "selected" theaters. Actually saw it when it came out and loved it. It's George Romero's newest zombie flick, have had the DVD for a few weeks now. Will have to pop it in and check it out again, well worth it for zombie fans!

Nice. I'm a big romero fan btw. I watch NotLD(1968) every year on Holloween.

My DVD copy of Land of The Dead (Director's cut) is autographed by Greg Nicotero and George A. Romero. Big Grin

I just watched Diary. Not bad. Not the best he's made but not bad. I thought it explained why they were recording everything better than Blair Witch. There were some scenes though when I was saying, "What are you doing with the camera?! Why aren't you helping?! There's a f'n zombie right there!" But I guess that's the social commentary with this one.

Yeah by far not his best, but far superior than "Day of the Dead". I loved all his other zombie flicks except that one. Even tho i'll watch it once in a blue moon, by far it was the weakest in his series. Night of the Living Dead i'll pop in once every few months. I always harrass my wife with "They are coming to get you Baaaarbara. Look there is one of them now!!". Lol her name isn't Barbara, but she's scared of all horror movies and it creeps her out when I say that.

I finally watched it! I loved this movie! Intense and very personal. And very innovative in the fact that it was a documentary inside of a movie. George Romero is STILL the zombie movie master. It actually made you feel just as panicked and claustophobic as the victims in the movie. No others come close to Romero!

There were nods to other stuff in there, too. The scene in the hospital where the zombie rolls off the hospital bed and his guts fall out is an homage to a similar scene in Day of the Dead. The scene where you could see the zombies through the cracks in the old barn was a nod to Night of the Living Dead as was the radio being the first thing they hear of the zombies. The scene in the apartment building where the old couple was hiding zombie family was a nod to the scene in the original Dawn of the Dead where special units were raiding the apartments.

The date at the begining of the movie is also the same date as Night of the living Dead.

I didn't catch that one. But that wouldn't make much sense since they had internet and such. The Night of The Living Dead happened in the late 60s.

Ha ha, when I first read the title of this thread I thought it said "Dairy of the Dead". Yay, dyslexia and zombie cows. Sorry, continue with your thread.
