[i][/i]This is the thread to make comments or short reviews about the last movie you saw. Or just drop in and tell us what you watched. I just watched Resident Evil: Apocalypse, the sequel to the original film (which most people seem to agree that the original was good). And it's not nearly as bad as everyone makes it out to be. Sure, it's not in same caliber as Night of the Living Dead or 28 Days Later. But it was still a very enjoyable little flick. It certainly wasn't as bad as House of the Dead was.

Watched Inception yesterday. It was a good movie, worth watching, not a casual view though. Just got through the first 'round' of Code Geuss a week ago, had to start over a couple of times because of the availability on Netflix(there one flaw). This series may not be my fav of all but it isn't far off. Awsome all the way through. A lot of thought went into making this show. Not your average anime. Can't wait for R2 to come available.

The Invisible Invaders (1959). Black and white 50s sci-fi movie. Great cheesy fun. The aliens are radioactive and invisible. However they can also inhabit dead human bodies, which cannot be killed.

Saw The Green Hornet yesterday. Decent movie. Good mix of action and comedy. I probably would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't in 3-D. 1) I have to wear the 3-D glasses over my own and it sucks, and 2) 3-D movies give me headaches.

HANNAH AND HER SISTERS (1986) I typically prefer Woody Allen's - as the Stardust Memories line goes - , "earlier funnier work," but this story is engrossing. Unrequited love is a horrible bitch goddess.

The Shadow, 1940 Serial. It was your basic, black & white, action serial. From Columbia. The Shadow is your basic masked-detective character fighting mobsters controlled by a mysterious masked leader (actually invisible leader in this case) that is unmasked at the end. They don't even include The Shadow's mystical abilities like clouding men's minds and actually becoming invisible in the shadows. So meh. It's alright if your into serials, but nothing different here.

Just saw Freejack starring Mick Jagger from Rolling Stones, Emelio Estevez, and Renee Russo. Wasn't bad. Not a masterpiece, but enjoyable. There's a few plot-holes here and there, but they can be overlooked. Mick Jagger actually didn't do to bad, but that's probably because he played a guy that was mostly the strong-silent type. In it a corporation in future steals people from the moment right before their deaths in the past. They then use those people as replacement bodies for the rich. Emelio Estevez is one of those people, but he wakes up fully conscious and aware and that's not supposed to happen. He ends up on the run and Mick Jagger is the leader of an elite team sent to retrieve him.

It was remade in the USa a few years later as "The Magnificent Seven." Samurai 7 is an excellent homage to the Kurosawa film.

I bought it because because of the matches on the extra discs. I grew up in the Mid Atlantic territory and can remember seeing many of those guys in person....good times. I miss those days. Wrestling was WAY better then. :-)

Indeed wrestling was better then. It was at it's peek. For cool and edgy, you watched WWF, for more traditional wrestling you watched WCW, and for the extreme underground stuff you watched ECW. And every one of those mentioned wrestling companies were in their prime at the time. It was a great time to be a fan.

Watched it today, and I have to say, it was fantastic. It covered both the WWF and the WCW sides well. I was pleasantly surprised. Great documentary on the years in wrestling between about 1996-2000. However it is short on the extras, a few great matches that are really worth watching from both WCW Monday Nitro and WWF Raw is War; but not nearly as many extras as the modern WWE DVDs have. I highly recommend getting this one if you're into the late 90s era of wrestling. It was great to watch. And for those that saw the "Rise and Fall of WCW" DVD that was released not too long ago, this fills in those years that they seemed to breeze through on that documentary very well (however the history on the early years of WCW on "Rise and Fall of WCW" was priceless).

Batman. Batman Forever, and Batman Forever. I couldn't get through to Begins. I like Batman, but watching those movies back to back alluded me to that Bruce is sorta a meanie. All those evil guys clearly have a lot of unresolved issues in order to want to harm others and interacting with Batman/Bruce doesn't make it any better. I think it's best that I don't do another Batman marathon ever again. :))

I mean, I still listen to the soundtrack! Come on! I agree, that's harsh! I think the sequels would've been great if they treated it as a random Crow story or actually use a few of the other redemption stories to base a movie on. I don't think a lot of people grasp the concept of a person coming back from the dead for revenge.

Believe it or not...NEW MOON. It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, but that is due mainly to it being the Rifftrax version, with the comedic commentary. I expected it to be up there with the worst movies ever made, but it was just lame. If the dialogue in the movie is taken directly out of the book, I assume 50% of said book is ellipses (...). I will never understand what people see in the main characters. Bella Swan is the least likeable character in the history of both literature and cinema, Edward Cullen is an abusive sparkly nancyboy, and the two of them share the MOST UNHEALTHY RELATIONSHIP EVER! I still find it strange that I'm familiar with the concept/costume design of the series, yet never watched the anime nor read any manga chapters....chances are I have and forgotten about it. Captain America: The First Avenger Very good. I saw it with my dad. He thought it was the best Marvel movie yet. I still think Iron Man is the best Marvel movie, but I'd definetly put this one right alongside it. Great period piece. They definetly captured the Golden Age/WWII era feel, perfectly. Great acting, great story, and good action. If anyone goes to see this stay after the credits to get a trailer for The Avengers.

Paul and Drive Angry. One was pretty good, the other flipping hilarious and awesome! I was also in a very British mood, so I saw a bit of "Snuff Box", and Horne & Corden. I didn't get into the latter too much. However, it's always a great show when Fulcher and Berry are on the scene!

Trick R Treat - Not bad, was actually better than I was expecting. Had some really cool gory scenes. I'd give it 3 1/2 out of 5 Final Destination 4 - Wasn't bad either, some of the cgi kills were brutual. If you are a fan of the franchise, then you should like this one. I'd give it 3 1/2 out of 5. Let me in - This was a lot better than I expected it to be, not pure horror a cute romantic story. Some of the gore in certain scenes was great, really enjoyed this one. 4 out of 5 stars Unknown - Was pretty cool, with lots of plot twists and you don't expect. Nice thiller/drama worth checking out. 3 1/2 out of 5 stars

It wasn't the same as all the vampire crap they have out in the market today, don't go expecting much and this little treat will surprise you.

Effects were spectacular, as was the music. Story ended absolutely nothing like I expected it to. It's one of those movies where you probably need to see it more than once to get the full effect.

I finally got around to watching Dylan Dog. It's decent, but it could have been better. I had a great time with it though, so it's a keeper. Watched "Cowboys and Aliens" last night with my daughter. Who can't like the combination of Indiana Jones and James Bond, although it wasn't Jon Favreau's best. What I found interesting is that the orginal planned director was Steve Oedekirk, Mr. King Pow himself! He still has a producing credit!

Last movie I watched was Priest.I thought it was pretty good.Of course I about gave up on it during the beginning credits scenes where the back story was being told through a freaking cartoon.Now I like animation and animated movies but it so did not fit in with this movie.

Oddly, I loved it for the same very reason. I went into the theaters knowing what to expect out of them. Last thing I've watched was Buffy Season 1 with my bf. I fell asleep too early to know his full reaction. He probably doesn't even like it but loves the fact that we can watch something together. However, I've been going through Angel Season 1 whenever I want to watch more of Buffy. :))

Just watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Pretty good movie that is somewhat inspired by Conquest of the Planet of the Apes. Great prequel with an emotionally invested story, great "ape" effects, and good acting. I recommend it to any sci-fi or Planet of the Apes movie fans. I hope that this gets a sequel and we finally get a real Planet of the Apes series reboot.

Any Batman fan [b]NEEDS[/b] to watch this. It easily does the comic story justice. It follows the same story and respects the source material. It has such style in the artwork, too. And what a deep and intricate plot. This one is not for the kiddies. The story follows a young Lieutenant (yep, Leiutenant, not yet Comissioner) Gordorn coming to Gotham City with high hopes and loyalty to the ethics that made him a cop. But what he finds is a corrupt city and a police force that are nothing more than thugs working for the organized crime running the city. He decides to fight against the corruption. This leads him to be shunned by fellow officers, it brings down the wrath of his Commissioner and of the crime lords, and even puts his family in danger; and he makes some mistakes of his own. Ah, but you're all wondering about Batman, huh? His story runs parallel to Lieutenant Gordon's, mirroring each other. A young Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City after years of training to find it in even worse condition than he left it all those years ago. He vows to his parents to rid Gotham of the scum that now rules it, but does not know exactly how to go about doing this. Watch Bruce Wayne as he takes his first steps into the role of Batman, how he was inspired to take the image of a bat, and watch his first mistakes and how he learns his lessons the hard way. Of course this leads to Lieutenant Gordon and Batman crossing paths for the first time. I just rewatched a few movies I haven't seen in years: -[b]Batman (1989) [/b]- This movie is STILL fan-freaking-tastic. One of the coolest on-screen Batman stories ever told. The visuals are fantastic, the soundtrack is amazing, great gritty "Batman" feel to it, the acting is spot-on, and Jack Nicholson stole the movie as The Joker. I'm gonna watch Batman Returns today as an encore! -[b]Super Troopers[/b] - Still freaking hilarious. One of the funniest movies ever made, IMO. If you haven't seen this (and you're not easily offended), I highly recommend NetFlix-ing it if you're in the mood for a good laugh. -[b]A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge[/b] - The black sheep of the series (well until the remake came out, at least). This one is an oddball compared to the rest of the movies. It's not necessarily bad, but it's not great either. It's just kind of strange. Freddy tries to take over Jesse's body (the only Freddy movie where the main "hero" is a guy rather than girl), and ends up succeeding . This results in Freddy attacking people in the "real-world" and being able to be hurt as well. This just doesn't seem to fit into regular Nightmare on Elm Street dream logic. -[b]A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child [/b]- Probably the next worse one in the series. Which is the reason I tried to give #2 and this one a 2nd chance, because I remembered not liking them much when I was younger (yet I love the other Nightmare on Elm Street movies). I figured I might pick up on stuff that I didn't when I was younger and might appreciate it more. Well, I was wrong. It's still a bad Nightmare movie with a ridiculous plot where Freddy is trying to be reborn through Alice's unborn child. \Freddy's dead mother, who was driven insane by Freddy's conception (being raped by a 1000 maniacs in an insane asylum), fights against Freddy with Alice. And the dream deaths in this one are so over-the-top (and not in a good way) that all the deaths just come off as cheesy.

It does have cool looking visuals, a good soundtrack, and good actors. But the story and characters I just can't get into. Penguin and Catwoman come off as weak villains to me. It seems like Batman should have been able to wipe the floor with both of them the first time he met them and be done with it. And The Penguin is just gross in this movie. Also, there wasn't enough about Batman/Bruce Wayne himself in the movie. The first Batman (1989) easily blows it away. But it would be hard to follow up such a masterpiece.

Resident Evil Never got around to watching it. Saw it on Crackle last night. Wasn't too bad. I appreciated the fact that they went zombie without getting to graphic and gross(which is why I stay away from most zombie flix). Still wondering why the main character wasn't named Jill though. The Lizard scenes especially were well done. I still didn't feel it was better than the Tobey McGuire films, though. And while I understand the desire to update the origin for a modern audience, I don't feel the updates were really all that necessary or changed the feel of it enough to warrant it. Nonetheless, it was a small complaint and wasn't a big enough deal to ruin the film or anything. And the whole thing was well set-up for the epic Green Goblin/Death of Gwen Stacy story which it seems is going to be in the sequel story, if it merits a sequel.

I don't understand all the hate it gets. It was a solid action movie, IMO. It doesn't have the low-budget charm of the 1st movie, and it's not as spectacular as the 2nd film (hell, I can't think of ANY action movie better than T2); however it made a great post-apocalyptic tale set in the Terminator Universe. And it gave me what I've wanted from a Terminator film ever since seeing the few future scenes in the first 2 movies, a Terminator film set in the future. Great special effects, and cool robots to boot. And it was certainly better than T3.

Can't say I hated it, it was a good movie in it's own right. Any Tolkien or fantasy fans should go see it. Great production values and budget, and a lot of Middle-Earth lore packed into it. But at the same time, I can't say that I loved it either. It was just too silly at times. It seemed as if the movie never took itself seriously, which really bothered me. I mean, this wasn't some low-budget production where that sort of thing belongs, nor was it supposed to be a comedy. A little humor here or there is a good thing, but it was just too much here. I hope the sequel is little more serious, since it looks like it's gonna deal with Smaug.

My dad showed me an episode of the old black & white movie serial "Captain Video and his Video Rangers". About as cheesy as it can possibly get. I watch a lot of movies on my computer, but the last movie I saw in a theatre was BEFORE SUNRISE. And that might be the only theatrical release I see this year. A movie has to be very special to get me to pay those theatre prices (and I like going to movie theatres, especially those old movie houses that are dying out). Given the amount of stuff I watch on my computer, maybe it's time to invest in a bigger screen.

Just finished [b]Oblivion[/b] - credits are still rolling. Apparently it's based off an unpublished graphic novel of the same name and directed by the writer of said GN. The production values and sfx are top-notch and Tom Cruise turns in a spectacular performance. I would have loved to see this play out on the big screen. There are some twists and turns as the story develops. Fans of the sci-fi genre would do themselves well by giving this film a screening. This one may just go on my "buy" list.

The Wolverine. I thought it was a completely average and forgettable action movie, with some good special effects here or there. And I had one question about it, afterwards. Why did the Japanese guy become obsessed with Adamantium if when he met Wolverine in WWII, Wolverine still had bone claws and no Adamantium yet? In the movie, it even showed his bone claws when he was hanging by them in the well, spying on the base.

Have watched a few here lately Oblivion- I loved, my wife hated it. The movie looked tremendous in HD. Really good story and some cool action scenes. Its a little slow at first but stick with it. Insidious- Just got around to watching this. Loved it. Highly recommend. Lords Of Salem- Oh dear lord what a piece of crap. Rob Zombie needs to hang it up after this turd. Boring, stupid plot (if you can call it that), Uneventful ending. Was this supposed to be a scary movie? If so it tried really hard (and succeeded) in not being the slightest bit scary.

My last three movies were: [u][b]Men in Black 3:[/b][/u] Though I didn't really like the first two movies, I really enjoyed this one especially the young Miss O. [u][b]Star Trek: into Darkness[/b][/u] Totally awesome. The CGI was spectacular as one expects from a Star trek movie. And the way Chris Pine played Kirk was unusual and good. I especially liked the scenes which refer to the Wraith of Khan movie. And Carol Marcus! She was way hot. And btw she was played by the same actress who played Miss O in MiB 3 [u][b]Oblivion[/b][/u] I totally agree with ukblueky . The movie does start quite slow. But once it picks up in pace the movie really takes off and is a "must watch" movie. Now I am waiting for Iron Man 3 which should be out at the beginning of October.

Just watched Skyline, Tron, and Tron: Legacy. Skyline was one of the worst wastes of time I've seen in a long time - what a horrible movie... cool SFX though. Tron was really kind of boring. I remember all the hype when it originally came out but never got to see it until now. Tron: Legacy was pretty sweet and a great follow-up/sequel. However, the SFX for CLU were not very good and kind of off-putting. Maybe it looked better on the big screen than it does on BluRay?

Been laid up from surgery so... DeathProof: pretty good, made me laugh and had some sweet cars. Planet Terror: hilarious. Dreamscape: a great movie with, good writing, excellent acting, and awesome SFX for the time period. Anvil! The Story of Anvil: an excellent documentary about an obscure but incredibly influential Canadian metal band that never got the breaks they deserved. If you like metal I strongle recommend watching this. Alien Planet: a docu-drama from the Discovery Channel. A bit goofy and far-fetched. A Dirty Shame: just freakin' odd... I Love You Phillip Morris: Ewan McGregor and Jim Carrey in a true story movie that just about nobody has ever heard of. This was a great movie with some really funny parts and a lot of tugging at the heart strings. The main character really is kind of a bad person, but you keep finding yourself rooting for him... Death Race: A great re-imagining of the classic. I really liked this (had a solid Twisted Metal Black vibe to it) but I've heard that the sequels/prequels were terrible. Forbidden Zone: a "musical comedy film based upon the stage performances of the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo.". Unwatchable garbage. I couldn't get through more than 30 minutes of this piece of convoluted self-indulgent crap. DOA - Dead or Alive: good popcorn flick. Pretty people with lots of action and very little story, but still a fun watch. My Name Is Bruce: forgettable and disappointing. I love Bruce Campbell, but this is a low point for his career (and THAT is saying a lot). Semi-Pro: I can't stand Will Ferrel, but this one was pretty good. Funny with a good enough story to keep me watching. Woody Harrelson is great in everything he does. The entire 1990s X-Men animated series: this got so much hype when it was on the air, but I rarely got to watch because of when it came on. I definitely understand the hype - this series was incridible! Compelling stories with great writing, high quality animation, and good voice acting. Until the final season that is, when it all turned to utter $h!t. I guess they found out they were getting cancelled and just stopped caring because suddenly half the voices were different people, characters started looking different and the animation was inconsistent, and the writing was just incomprehsible gibberish. Early in the final season the stories just stopped making sense and were pointless filler that had nothing to do with the previous 5 seasons. Worst series ending EVER. Hell, even the 1990s Spider-Man being cancelled on a cliff-hanger was a better ending than this.

[size=7][b]Titan A.E.[/b][/size] (2000) For a movie that's 13 years old, I think it's held up really well. The animation doesn't feel dated to me. And with solid voice acting by Matt Damon, Drew Barrymore, Nathan Lane, Bill Pullman and John Leguizamo, how could you go wrong? It's a solid animated sci-fi adventure. Very underrated, similar to Disney's Treasure Planet.

The movie goes by a few titles, actually: "Let Sleeping Corpses Lie", "Don't Open the Window", and the title this particular copy went by "The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue". The beginning was a little slow to get into, but once things start happening, it's a pretty cool movie that delivers some great zombie scenes and gore scenes. And it's British (but I don't mind British horror movies). Of course the police don't believe their story of the walking dead. [b]Red Dawn (2012)[/b] Remake of an 80's classic. Just swap out the Russians for North Korea and everything else is pretty much the same (as I remember it). This movie sat in distribution limbo for a while before finally seeing it's way to the silver screen in 2012. While not a particularly good movie, (cliche story, predictable plot) the casting was good and the acting was pretty solid.

Very cool 80s "adult" animated movie in the same vein as Heavy Metal or Starchaser. This one was done by Isaac Asimov (yeah, the famous one), and stars Glenn Close as a voice-actor. Some stiff animation, and maybe a little flat on the voice-acting. But if you can look past that, it's a VERY cool sci-fi story with some very imaginative animation. Also, there are a lot of blue titties everywere, so once you get past that shallow surface, you'll find a deeper a story, I promise. A society that has lived in peace and paradise is suddenly invaded by "men of metal". They systematically and without a sign of emotion or remorse begin killing people. [img]http://merryfrolics.files.wordpress.com/2012/03/gandahar00.jpg[/img] A race that has long forgotten war sends out one warrior to find out why, and where these men of metal are coming from; his name is Silvain. What he finds is strange a race of deformed people that have been outcast by his society, the very same society that experimented on them and made them this way; and as a result also have strange precognitive powers. They give him a riddle: " "A thousand years ago, Gandahar will be saved, and what can't be avoided will be." ." I don't want to give away too much here, because it's one of those movies where everything clicks into place at the end. Very cool movie. Anchorman 2 I wished I hadn't spent the money on it, afterwards. Doesn't even come close to touching the first movie. They were just trying way too hard. Everything came off over-the-top, and yes, I realize that's how the first film was. But this time, it was just too much all the time.

Lots of action, great animation, and a good (albeit not great) comic book story. It's really the action sequences, more than anything that stands out here. And the artwork has just a bit of a Japanese Anime flavor to it, but completely has that smooth American animation with lots of movement unlike most Japanese anime. And the artwork is stunning for an animated movie. I definitely recommend it to this bunch of comic fans.

I always thought this was a kiddied-down version of the Avengers, like that awful Ultimate Spider-Man cartoon. While this is perfectly fine for children to watch, there's plenty here for comic fans to love. I really liked this one. It's set in a dystopian future where Ultron rules the Earth and the Avengers and other super-heroes have been killed off. Only some of the Avengers' children have survived with an aging Tony Stark to watch over and hide them from Ultron. But they are eventually discovered after a returning, and damaged Vision arrives to their hideaway. Tony Stark dons the Iron Man armor one last time to defend them all, only to be captured. The children of the Avengers must follow in their parents' footseteps in order to rescue Tony Stark and take-down Ultron. New and old faces show up along the way. Nicely wrapped up with a rampaging Hulk. Watch this one if you like animated comic features at all.

I've been stuck in bed with my back out since Monday afternoon. So I've been watching moves to pass the time between drug induced naps. This Island Earth Rocketship XM The Day The Earth Stood Still (The good one from the 50s) Planet Of The Apes (2001) This is the first time I watched this one all the way through. I don't think it's as awful as most make it out to be. The ending leaves you scratching your head though. One Million Years BC. Raquel Welch in an animal skin bikini. Yaaaaa. 2001: A Space Odyssey. I watch this one every few years and every time I like it a little better. But still don't see why people go ape crap over it. I skip the ending because it drives me nuts. The Fugitive. Tommy Lee Jones makes this one for me. The 13th Warrior. Love this underrated movie. First Men In The Moon. And several Twilight Zone and Outer Limits episodes. Oh and some episodes of Superman The Animated Series. Like I said stuck in bed.

The first half being action-packed with Riddick facing off against the mercs. And the second half having Riddick and the mercs having to survive together against the creatures and betrayal. And Riddick was a bad-ass, as usual. I don't know what everyone's beef was with the budget, either. Everything looked great, to me. I know it was filmed on a lower budget, but I had no complaints at all. Yeah, we didn't see the huge battleships and such that we saw in Chronicles of Riddick, but what we did see (creatures, merc ships, future-tech, etc.) all looked great. I also really liked Chronicles of Riddick (a LOT). So I'm the opposite of most fans that preferred Pitch Black over Chronicles of Riddick (although I still like Pitch Black), so I don't know if that made a difference in my opinion of the film.

It completely respected the source material, yet felt like a modern update. Nothing story-wise or major was changed. Just had better special effects, set currently rather than in the 80s, updated the styles and dialogue to match 2011, and the T.V. "vampire hunter" character was changed a bit. I loved the original, and I'm looking to buy this version now, too. Great, fun little ride for horror fans, and it's tame enough to watch with the kiddies even (not saying it won't scare some of the more timid ones; but nothing that will scar them for life, no sex, no nudity).

It's basically a new telling of the origin of the Justice League, but modernized for the "New 52" versions of the characters. The heroes must meet for the first time, and band together against an invasion of Earth from Darkseid and the rest of Apokolips. Lots of action, good animation, and good voice-acting. And Cyborg was really cool in this. My only real complaint is the portrayal of Hal Jordan. He came off more as the obnoxious Guy Gardner, than he did Hal Jordan (which is obviously who he was supposed to be). BTW, was that little girl at Billy Batson's orphan home supposed to be Mary Marvel? The boy with her sure as heck looked like Freddy Freeman.

I'll definitely be looking to add this one to my collection.

I bought it months ago at Target for $15 (blu/DVD/digital) and finally got around to watching it. I don't know if I need to own it at this point though.

You'll enjoy it if you're a sci-fi fan or a fan of the Apes movies. But it is a little slow-moving, so those that aren't big sci-fi fans probably won't enjoy this one.

I watched a good chunk of the movie "Be Kind Rewind" with Jack Black on Comedy Central while trying to calm the baby (but not the whole thing). I'm a Jack Black fan and I had never heard of this before. Quite the strange movie. If you like stuff like "Better Off Dead" or "Billy Madison", you should enjoy this one. There's a hilarious part where all the videos (yeah, VHSes) in the store get erased. And their watching the store while the owner is on vacation. A nark of a customer knows this, and threatens to rat on them if they don't do a good job. So they try and recreate all scenes and remake Ghostbusters incredibly low-budget before she rents it (she hasn't seen it before). Good stuff. Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit. I have read all the Clancy novels with Ryan so felt kind of obligated to watch this. I was NOT a fan. In fact, off all the Jack Ryan movies (Patriot Games, Clear and Present Danger, Hunt for Red OCtober, Sum of all Fears), this is, by far, my least favorite. I gave it a 2 star ranking on the Netflix queue.

After years of not watching it. I just finished Batman Forever with Val Kilmer as Batman. Forgot how awesome that movie was. Jim Carrey as the Riddler. Just classic. Just shows if done right. You can recreate the campyness of the Batman 60's television show and make it work on the screen. It's when George Clooney took a stab at Batman is when the franchise got killed for almost a decade. In that movie, Batman and Robin, I am not so sure it was the casting but more to do with a bad script. Very cool little sci-fi movie starring William Hurt, Jennifer Connelly, and Keifer Sutherland. It's one of those movies that make you think a little about the world around you and nature of reality. But it does have a little bit of a low-budget, so if that turns you off, you may not like this. Personally, I really enjoyed it. Great story that keeps you intrigued, great sets, and a great sense of atmosphere. A man wakes up in a hotel room with no memory of who he is. He soon finds a dead woman in the room with him, then learns of a series of brutal murders that recently happened. He looks for clues to who he is, and connections to his life and the murders. He sets out to find out what the hell is going on, and soon finds out the picture is much bigger than he realized. A race of beings as old as time itself is dying. And they have searched the universe for answers. This man soon learns that he and everyone in the city he is in is part of an experiment involving these beings. And no one is who they think they are. These beings are so advanced, that they can shape reality itself. But this man is the first human in their history to be able to not only resist them, but start to fight them with their own power. If you're a sci-fi fan, check it out. I really enjoyed it. Unique little film.

That is an excellent movie! It has a [u]Matrix [/u]kind of feel to it. Or the other way around I guess since it came out well before those movies. Very entertaining and I love the "reveal" at the end. Quite well done. =d>

Just saw Alien Romulus at a 2nd run theater for $3. Amazing movie and every bit worth the trip getting to that theater and worth every penny I spent. Haven't enjoy a Alien IP this much since, well Alien Isolation. Then it was a very long time before that LOL. Anyways what I consider finally a true sequel to the Alien franchise. Also really love Cailee Spaeny and the guy who played the android Andy. Cailee really carried the movie while Andy was a far superior relationship between human and robot than Ridley Scott ever managed to achieve.
