Problems with Issue Descriptions

Issue Description: The issue description can be anything that describes the content of the issue, or any information that might be relevant about that specific issue. Issue description is where you can put the Story Title, or any pertinent information about the story line. Please do not plagiarize. Make sure that the issue description is in your own words. Acceptable examples would be:

 1. Story Title: Venom. This 25th anniversary issue special introduces us to the first appearance of Venom. Venom was one of Spider-Man's most formidable foes! Peter must protect his new bride from an enemy who understands him like no other.

2. Earth-3 is destroyed as the 12-part limited series that changes the face of DC COMICS forever begins. Can the mysterious Monitor, who has secretly kept watch over the DCU for years now, gather beings powerful enough to save the Multiverse?

The issue description field cannot be removed entirely without a replacement issue description - solicitation or not, this is still important data. Please type in a replacement issue description of your own words instead of removing it altogether - the length of the description doesn't matter either. All of this data will be used by CCL eventually, so we can't leave it blank.

Thank You all for your concern in this matter :)

I'm sorry, but when every single issue of Spawn or G.I. Joe has text stolen from another site the important thing is to rid of the stolen text, not typing up new descriptions. You wasted all the time I spent updating the Spawn issues when you kept the stolen text and threw out the story titles. Not only did you delete the one detail we can legitimately keep, you also kept the plagiarized text! It doesn't matter if you changed a few words here or there - it's still plagiarism.

I'm not convinced CCL is taking this issue seriously enough.

I would think that replacing the plagiarized text with the story title should count as something. The field was not left blank and it can be added to later. But the main thing was the stolen text was removed. That should be the first concern. Thousands of books have nothing in the Issue Description Field. A story title alone is better than a plagiarized description.

I'm with the other guys - this rule is a bit ridiculous. I'm a numbers and facts guy. It's what I do for a living. You DON'T want me trying to write a synopsis or description of any issue. It'd just be ugly. I can give you a story title if one is available. I can remove plagiarized text.
