Feeling unsure of his ability to become the new Robin, Batman sends Tim Drake away to Paris to study under a master in the mystic arts and healing techniques.

While in Paris he befriends Clyde Rawlins and also meets the assassin Lady Shiva.

He soon becomes involved in a battle with the street gang the Ghost Dragons and their leader the King Snake.
