The X-men square off against Alpha Flight in a knockdown, drag out fight over a warrant issued by the Governor of New York to remove all the children from Xavier's institute. But Just as the X-Men kick Canadian ass, Xavier uses his lawyers to expose ANOTHER corrupt NY Governor who has ties to the Church of Humanity. The end result is Sammy must return home, much to the sadness of Juggernaut.
