An evil presence that dominates the first half-hour of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, Lao Che literally gives Indy a reason to run for his life after slipping him some poison (is there an antidote in the house?). "I thought Chinese character actor Roy Chiao was just perfect as the delightfully slick gangster Lao Che," offers illustrator Mark Chiarello. "Oh, and how awesome are the two guys that play his slimey sons?"
