Item Biography

"Wake the Devil, Part 4"

*Hellboy has set timed charges to destroy Castle Giurescu, but finds his departure delayed by Hecate, angered over Hellboy's actions against Giurescu, and who demands Hellboy's fealty. Hellboy dispatches her, but not in sufficient time to avoid being caught in the demolition charges. Elsewhere, Rasputin demands the ultimate sacrifice from Ilsa Haupstein's to effect her transformation, and we see Ilsa step into an Iron Maiden. We learn of Baba Yaga's vendetta against Hellboy. Meanwhile in Norway, Kroenen reanimates Von Klempt, but Kurtz stumbles upon them and is killed for his discovery. Hellboy regains conciousness, bound to a stake, in Rasputin's clutches, awaiting death. *Source: Warlock

**Hellboy thought this assignment was over when he bagged the vampire, Giurescu. Well, think again! Giurescu's mistress is Hecate, an ancient spirit of chaos, and she's not going to let her man go without a fight! It's the world's greatest paranormal investigator against chaos incarnate in Hellboy: Wake the Devil, the most disastrous mission in the history of the Bureau for Paranormal Research and Defense! **Source: darkhorse.com
