*The Design of Star Wars
Gamorrean guards changed from monkey to pig when Joe Johnston (front) drew them as upright wild boars. The final look (back) was designed by Dave Carson of Industrial Light & Magic's Monster Shop. The pig-guards were going to be bare-chested and dressed in skimpy gladiator-like clothes. But they ended up wearing a fuller cloth and leather uniform with metal epaulets to cover the seams of the molded rubber costume. *Source: Back of card
