Alas, poor Modred, the apprentice sorceror. Summoned by Royal request to the court of Camelot, to learn at Merlin's behest. Modred sought to belay the King's command.

Torn between his rightful duty and a desire to stay to marry his fiancé, the young mage attempts to amass and wield knowledge from the Book of Darkhold. This new power comes at a severe price.

Modred is cursed by the Darkhold. To spend eternity in a perpetual slumber, never to utilise those new sorcerous skills.

Until the deathly lethargy is disturbed by two young archaeologists, eleven centuries later. Modred has to acclimatize himself to a modern world that has forgotten him and the ways of magic.
