The device takes hold of everyone in the chamber as the FF must stop everyone from killing them without hurting anyone in the room. The manage to contain the people as Reed shuts down the device. Everyone returns to normal with no recollection of what just happened. Reed gets a private meeting where he debates the definition of Super Hero vs. Mutant and where the government will draw the line, he next builds a super power detector which he uses to expose two members of the panel as having increased readings, something that would make them vulnerable in the next election. With that, the act is shelved, for now. The FF return home where they learn the origin of the device and trace it back to Doom. But Doom is another robot that unleashes the Super Adaptoid. But the Adaptoid tries to adapt to Ben but does not realize Ben is human inside of a Thing exo-suit as Ben levels the Adaptoid with one "Sunday's Best".
