Bruno Horgan's company was a competitor of Stark Industries, but couldn't beat Tony Stark's ingenuity. Now Bruno has turned his resentment of Stark into revenge, as he designs a ray that melts iron, creates the persona of the Melter, and goes on a spree of covertly sabotaging Stark's work. With his military contracts in trouble, Iron Man must take on an enemy who can destroy his armor in a heartbeat.
