John, Dejah and Sola manage to escape the palace and the death threats of Lorquas Ptomel. Unfortunately they and Tars Tarkas end up on the forbidden isle of Heaven.

"Slaves of the Mahars"

Thanks to the beast men; David, Abner and Ghak are now slaves to the Mahars. An impromptu threat to the Mahars allows David to escape, now separated from his friends David is alone on the open Pelucidar Sea.
