"Born Once Again"
As former members of the League gather in the cave Guy Gardner assumes he will be the teams new leader and butts head with Booster, Maxima, and Beetle until a mysterious foe appears and attacks the lot.
Meanwhile, Superman claims the League as belonging to the members and not Maxwell Lord which clearly upsets Max.
As the Weapons Master defeats the members in the cave Superman arrives with Ice and Fire only to fall at the hands of the evil Weapons Master.
A new figure materializes claiming to be of magical origin able to tap into the plasma energies of the spirits of the dead. Attempting to save the League with his own magical attack, Bloodwynd too fails to defeat the Weapons Master, who transports all of the defeated Leaguers and himself to a dimensional hide-away.
Can the Weapons Master be defeated?
Is the new Justice League America finished before it can even begin?
