Julie Moore is told not to come into the field to assist with reporting for the newspaper, due to a huge beast spawned by a natural disaster. Of course, Julie changes into The Enchantress, and ventures forth to confront the problem.

A worker at an archaeological dig, feeling under-appreciated by the staff, steals a tapestry from the museum funding the dig. Quite by accident, the thief discovers the tapestry can indirectly grant favors to the owner.
