"Masters of Evil"
As the Avengers respond to a call from the Teen Brigade, Captain America morns the loss of Bucky Barnes, and Rick Jones offers himself as a replacement. Cap dreams of bringing vengeance for Bucky to the man who caused his death during WWII, Baron Zemo. At that moment in a remote jungle, Zemo learns that Captain America yet lives, and starts planning his own revenge. We learn the source of Zemo's hatred, how Zemo wore a hood during WWII to hide his identity because he was hated for his support of Hitler. In a fight with Captain America, Zemo's own Adhesive X was splashed on him, permanently adhering the hood to his face. Now, Zemo employs a team of villains consisting of the Black Knight, the Melter, and the Radioactive Man to try to finish the job of killing Captain America. 23 pages (X-699).
