The Grim Reaper returns to launch a self-righteous attack on the Avengers in their own mansion. His perverse sense of justice contrives to place them all on trial for the purposes of determining whether the Vision or the newly revived Wonder Man is his true brother, Simon Williams.

Whichever one the Reaper concludes to be the authentic article, the other must be sentenced to death.
