Item Bio
"Time Doom"

Floating free in the myriad probabilities of the timestream, we find Earth's new Sorceror Supreme. The all-seeing Eye of Agamotto detects a clear trail left by Baron Mordo. Who can say whether it is minutes, hours or even days before Strange finally catches his elusive target.

Mordo is exasperated to see his mortal enemy again so soon. A quick exchange of mystical energies, and both magicians notice that their powers are not at their peak. Mordo escapes via a juncture in the void, Strange has no recourse, but to follow.

Doctor Strange is relocated to Paris, during the 18th century. Manic procession throngs the streets. Cagliostro, the famed sorceror is worshipped by the peasants. Strange waits until later to approach the mage alone at his abode.

When Strange tries to forewarn the Italian occultist of Mordo's intention, he is met with arrogance and dismissed. However, as the Sorceror Supreme is left alone in Cagliostro's home, he devises a scheme to impersonate the 18th century mage and lay in wait for his contemporary.

Later, on cue, Mordo does indeed appear. At first the evil one attempts to hoodwink Cagliostro, until an uncloaking spell reveals to him the true face of Doctor Strange. Two titans clash again, ending with Mordo bathed in the light of the Eye of Agamotto. Before he can be interrogated, he is plucked out of time again.

Time plays further inexplicable tricks as Strange, once more disguised as Cagliostro, encounters his own self, repeating the warning about Mordo. The second Doctor Strange vanishes, and the first is left alone again in perplexity.

Cagliostro reappears and challenges Strange to try stopping him interfering with the timestream. Even Seraphim's Shield barely deflects the sheer power of Cagliostro. This defense is brached when Mordo joins the attack from the shadows, like the craven jackal he is.

Strange can't hold up to the bombardment and sinks to his knees in defeat. Cagliostro's form shimmers in a haze, to reshape as Sise-Neg, a time traveller from the 31st century. His bold ambition is to keep venturing backward in time to absorb all available magical energy, eventually amassing enough power to virtually become God.
