Fantastic Four (1961) 17-A

"Defeated by Doctor Doom!" (X-315)

After returning from Micro-World, the FF try to relax with a night on the town but they soon learn they are being followed by strange creatures, constructs of Doctor Doom. Doom takes Alicia Masters hostage, then threatens the entire US with war. Doom shuts down US manufacturing complexes when the government does not comply with his demands. The FF find Doom's aerial hideout, infiltrate it, and defeat its traps. Doom escapes by jumping out of a hatch to an uncertain fate.
