Item Bio
"The Human Torch Meets... 'Captain America'"

When an appearance by Captain America is announced at the annual Glenville Antique Auto Show, young Johnny Storm's curiosity is piqued. Being an ardent fan of the Red-White & Blue adventurer, Johnny wonders where Cap has been since he disappeared just before the end of WWII.

A pair of opportunist thieves try to make off with one of the antique motors and the Human Torch streaks into action. The intervention of a familiar shield-wielding figure ends up stealing the limelight away from the junior Fantastic Four member.

The pair of imprisoned auto-thieves are sprung from their cell by their self-same captor. Captain America cavorting with criminals? Surely not, but the sentinel of truth, liberty and justice not only provides the crooks with a chic Ferrari, he also directs them to drive through town attracting the attention of as many police as possible.

The Torch is there to thwart them yet again, and this time the stooges sell-out their cohort, the newly corrupt Captain America.

Cap's plan all along, was to distract everyone away from the local bank so he could strip the vault. The Torch makes it his personal duty to prevent Cap's escape with the loot. After nearly being outwitted by his crafty, ingenious opponent, the Torch finally unmasks him as an imposter who is actually one of his former foes, the Acrobat.
