Ben Turner is taken home to meet his girlfriends father. Just as he ask permission to wed her, they are attacked by a man weilding a double-bladed ax. In the insuing fight, Janey is brutally killed before Ben's eyes. To protect his friend and help him deal with the grief Richard aggrees to help track down the killer. Information is given by Janey's father that may lead Richard to the one who may have employed the murderer.
