This issue includes the first cameo appearance of John Constantine. He was drawn on page 21 as a face in the crowd. The artists told Alan Moore that they would continue to draw him into the comics, and Moore decided to use him as a character. The first full appearance did not come until Saga of the Swamp Thing #37.
